Our Story

Greener Edge was founded on the belief that meaningful progress on sustainability and emissions reduction should be accessible and affordable for businesses, organisations, and charities of all sizes.

The green transition can only take place when everyone can access it, and we are passionate about providing the same high standard of work for all of our clients, ensuring everyone we work with feels empowered to move forward on sustainability and emissions reduction with confidence.

We are proudly Welsh, based in Eryri, with in‑house Welsh‑language capability, and we provide high‑quality, living‑wage, STEM-focused employment in Wales.

Meet Our Team

Stu Meades

Managing Director — Joined April 2018

Stu founded Greener Edge in April 2018 and is the Managing Director, steering the company's overall direction, providing high-level technical input, supporting the wider team, identifying new business development opportunities, and managing key client relationships. His motivation comes from time spent in Africa watching the effects of climate change first-hand, which left him wanting to help mitigate it.

Before Greener Edge, Stu worked in humanitarian aid work and training, then in environmental and sustainability management across commercial facilities management and real estate, before moving into the public sector with the NHS. Outside of work, he's Chair of the Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team, a remote rescue medical technician, an ultra marathon runner, and a keen rock climber and mountaineer.

Will Miller

Operations Manager — Joined January 2023

Will joined Greener Edge in January 2023 as Operations Manager, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. He believes we should all be working towards a happier, healthier world in some way, and that drives the work he does.

His professional background is in marine geosciences engineering, working on subsea infrastructure for offshore windfarms before joining Greener Edge.

Outside of work, Will spends most of his time outdoors biking, climbing and dog walking, and is an active member of his local mountain rescue team.

Lucy Coombs

Senior Project Manager Joined August 2023

Lucy oversees large-scale projects including the planning and delivery of the Welsh Government's Food Division Sustainability Service alongside partner organisations. She's drawn to the systems-level thinking the work demands, sitting at the intersection of climate, food, nature, community and wellbeing.

Zedekaii Oliver-Jones

Head of Data and Carbon Solutions Joined October 2021

Zed leads on Data and Carbon Solutions, acting as the team's technical authority on footprinting methodology and standards while developing new tools to keep Greener Edge's work sharp, consistent and high quality as the sector evolves.

Rebecca (Becky) Tod

Senior Project Manager Joined July 2024

Becky leads sustainability projects across North Wales and England spanning decarbonisation plans, renewable energy feasibility studies, carbon footprinting and energy audits. Much of her work involves helping community groups, small businesses and public sector bodies turn grant funding into practical, on-the-ground change.
